Who Are We?

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONNECTICUT, LLC

BHC is a provider-sponsored behavioral health care network that offers a full range of mental health and substance abuse services across the state of Connecticut. We were created by Hartford Health Care Corporation, the parent company of Hartford Hospital, and are owned by Connecticut institutional and independent health care providers.

The BHC Network

The BHC network consists of licensed and credentialed ambulatory and facility-based providers. BHC contracts with HMOs and other health care entities responsible for providing health care benefits to Connecticut citizens. Our network offers members easy access (24 hours a day, seven days a week) and a choice of many specialized mental health and substance abuse providers for all professional disciplines at convenient locations.

Managed Behavioral Health Care Program

BHC manages the behavioral health care benefits for members enrolled in the Aetna PPO - Hartford Hospital Employees Program. BHC also sponsors Solutions EAP, providing assistance to companies and employers throughout the state. As a provider-sponsored organization, BHC strives to provide accessible, high quality services to covered members and to manage members’ behavioral health care benefits consistent with the quality standards set by the National Committee on Quality Assurance.
