Components of the Program
Access
BHC can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week by members who want to access behavioral health services. The
toll free number is 800-741-4443.
Clinical Services
Licensed clinicians are available around
the clock to authorize acute care services, perform triage, and refer
members to network providers for acute care services. Staff is also
available during business hours, 8 AM to 4:30 PM to answer routine
questions and refer members to network providers for all levels of
care.
Utilization Management
Care managers perform the following
services during regular business hours:

Network Operations
BHC staff assist providers who are
interested in joining the network or who need information regarding
the credentialing and re-credentialing process. Staff also work hard
to maintain an updated list of providers, sorted by geographic area
and specialty.
